Luke listened fully to the situation, asked relevant questions, and managed to arrive at a solution my husband and I had not even considered, despite being experienced at making mortgage applications ourselves. It was certainly worth following up the initial on line report that was sent by Luke, because discussing our case over the phone highlighted important points that we had not considered.

What could your adviser do better? Not much! it may have been helpful to be encouraged to get more accurate redemption statements from current mortgages, as when the final move happened, the extra money that was needed to settle the previous loan was a real dent into my new floor budget. However, this was our fault in not checking the redemption fully.

He responded promptly to my online enquiry, and was able to narrow down the options without unnecessary detail, and to recommend the best. Communication was excellent by phone, text message and email. The preparation of initial documentation was faultless, and ongoing liaison with relevant parties helpful.

What could your adviser do better? The solicitor's time-scale was more extended than first anticipated, and this understandably gave rise to some anxiety on the part of the broker about payment for his services (which would normally be made at completion). His well-intentioned direct calls to the solicitor's office and subsequent updates to myself, even before formal completion, were not strictly necessary, though I do understand that clients may occasionally be less cooperative in discharging their obligations honourably and promptly.

Luke returned my calls promptly, helped me find a better deal than I had found for myself. He kept me get the right info to the lender, updated with the application. For my insurance he explained the difference between the products.
